Since 2011 Steve Gill has been a man on a mission to get disabled men and women into motorsports whether it be through spectating or participating. His latest project saw a team of 6 in a Saab 9-3 (provided by Specialist Vehicle Rental) armed with a fully loaded fuelGenie card courtesy of Tesco attempt to drive through 42 counties in just 24 hours.
In completing the challenge the team set a new record but torrential rain and a few unhelpful divers
As the stopwatch ticked into the 24th hour the Saab had whizzed through 39 counties. The team finally crossed the finishing line having driven through all 42 counties in 26 hours and 34 minutes – without doubt still a superb achievement.
