We’re marking our first ten years of operation with a special event for staff at our Wolverhampton offices. fuelGenie was established in 2009 to offer fleet owners and managers a unique and highly differentiated fuel payment solution with outstanding value.
Initially our parent company Worldline IT Services operated independent business fuel card schemes on behalf of national supermarkets Tesco and Sainsbury’s.
Worldline Services then worked together with the supermarkets to bring all of these schemes together under one umbrella company, fuelGenie, and the first exclusive supermarket business fuel cards were created. The solution developed into a whole service aimed at making the purchase and administration of fuel for customers as straightforward and hassle free as possible.
Today fuelGenie works with the customers the length and breadth of the UK, who now have widespread and convenient access to 1,370 fuel stations all around the country with the most northerly being Tesco at Wick Airport and the most southerly at Sainsbury’s, Helston in Cornwall. fuelGenie offers outstanding value as there are no card or transaction charges for business or public sector customers who benefit from supermarket fuel prices, a raft of management information through online tools for control with excellent payment terms recognising the importance of cash flow. Customers also benefit from full end to end solutions and rate fuelGenie with a 94% satisfaction level.
The anniversary date fell just after this year’s Fleet Live event which took place at the NEC in Birmingham on 8th - 9th of October. A special celebration is being arranged for the whole team at the Wolverhampton office.
