Supermarkets are frequently dropping the price of their fuel and creating offers to encourage customers to switch where they spend their money on groceries and fuel. This is great for fuelGenie fuel card users as your business can take advantage of these offers and save money by consistently directing drivers to supermarket petrol stations.
Supermarkets compete heavily with each other on fuel prices and often as one supermarket cuts the price of their fuel other supermarkets follow suit, making it cheaper to run your fleet of business vehicles.
We take a look at some of the latest fuel offers and how you can keep track of the best supermarket offers so you can save your business money on fuel.
Tesco
Tesco have announced a recent price cut of 2p per litre on petrol and diesel across all of their petrol stations. This follows a series of price cuts on fuel from all of the supermarkets.
Morrisons
On the 6th February Morrisons dropped diesel prices by 4p a litre and petrol by 2p a litre at all petrol filling stations, a great offer for businesses to take advantage of as there is no purchase needed.
Sainsbury’s
Sainsbury’s also dropped diesel prices by 4p a litre and petrol by 2p a litre at all petrol filling stations around the same time as the recent Morrisons price drop. This is a typical example of how when one supermarket cuts fuel prices the rest follow suit.
